Festival of Fun with No Limits Theatre : Monday 24 July to Friday 1 September
Spark your imagination as you explore the amazing history of Sunderland at the Festival of Fun!
Discover the strange stories of our Museum collections told by fantastical characters in our pop up theatre shows.
Explore lions and light-bulbs, captivating castles and hidden treasures as we journey through curious new worlds each week.
Get creative with music, drama and art activities after each performance.
Relaxed performances and workshops are available for families with children with additional needs.

Show Dates:
24-27 July – Circle of Life (Archaeology)
31 July – 3 August – As the Crow Flies (Hylton Castle Project)
7 – 10 August -  Lumen (Inventors)
14-17 August - Wonderlands (Fantasy Worlds)
21-24 August - Lion on the Loose (Victorians)
29 August – 1 Sep -  Jack Ahoy (Ships)

Participating children will be invited to take part in a Discover Arts Award for some performances and activities and receive a special certificate.
£2 per child, adults and children aged 2 and under go free. Pay at the museum shop or Ticketsource via the Museum website.

Perhaps Sunderland's most prominent landmark is Penshaw Monument. It was built in 1844 in honour of the first Earl of Durham, John George Lambton. Penshaw was modelled on Theseion, the Temple of Thesus in Athens.
